Adelaide is likely to use a ballot system to allocate 475 tickets for the Showdown on Saturday, chief executive Andrew Fagan has said.

On Tuesday, the SA Government announced 2,000 fans would be able to attend the match, along with a further 240 in private rooms.

Adelaide has been allocated 475 tickets and Port Adelaide 1475 tickets - due to it being a Power home game.

Remaining tickets will be given to Adelaide Oval members.

Fagan told the media on Tuesday afternoon the Club was still working through how it would allocate tickets.

“We’ll write to our members in the morning (Wednesday) and let them know the process,” Fagan said.

“At its core there will be a ballot system for all members who have pledged their support of the Club in 2020.

“These are unique times, there’s not many tickets to go around.”

Fagan was confident the 475-person Crows crowd would make plenty of noise in a mostly empty stadium.

“It’s great to have the opportunity for at least some members to be there at this game,” he said.

“For me, it’s one step towards normality again.

“Having been at the first game, where we played Sydney without crowds, the lack of atmosphere is telling.

“It’ll add to the event and the players will appreciate it.”

Adelaide will take on the Power in Showdown 48 at Adelaide Oval on Saturday at 7.10pm (ACST).
