Retired Crows legend Ben Hart has accepted a sponsorship position with the Adelaide Football Club.Hart, who played 311 games with Adelaide and was apart of the inaugural squad in 1991, has taken up a full-time role as Coterie Services Executive.“Ben Hart is one of our greatest ever players and an outstanding character at the club,” commercial operations general manager Phil Harper said. “We think that this role will suit Ben down to the ground, as he will be working with those who helped support him over the past 16 years.”His role will include servicing and working with Adelaide’s large list of sponsors.After being told that he was no longer a required player with the Crows, Hart elected to nominate for the draft in the hope of extending his AFL career.Although generating some interest from other clubs, the reliable defender did not hear his name called at the December 12 pre-season draft.Ben Hart’s football career ends with a list of honours including the first Crows player to reach 300 games, premiership player in 1997 and 1998, pre-season premiership player in 2003, Adelaide club champion in 1999 and 2002, AFL Mark of the Year in 1996 and International Rules representative in 1998 and 1999.
