Adelaide coach Matthew Nicks has given his biggest hint yet that dynamic forward Shane McAdam is in line for an AFL debut.

Nicks answered questions from Crows fans on Wednesday and was asked by Jerome Withers when McAdam was likely to debut.

“Around about four days (referring to Sunday), hopefully,” Nicks responded.

“We haven’t made a decision on selection but Shane is putting his best foot forward and was a standout on the weekend as far as effort in our twos.

“We know what talent he’s got and we’re confident he’ll play senior footy soon.”

Nicks was also quizzed on the availability of tall forwards Elliott Himmelberg and Billy Frampton.

“We want those players to be ready and we want those players to be prepared,” Nicks said.

“There is no doubt there are two guys there in Himmel and Frampton who are playing solid football in our seconds (side).

“We’ve lacked that tall forward at the ball and we’ve struggled to bring the ball to ground.

“The opposition sides have had far too many marks, we’ll have a look at that.”

Adelaide will face Brisbane at the Gabba on Sunday at 1.05pm (AEST).
