Collingwood has survived an early scare to run away with a 24-point win over winless Adelaide at Adelaide Oval on Tuesday night.

The Crows led by nine points at half-time before a five-goals-to-one third term powered the Magpies to a 10.2 (62) to 5.8 (38) victory.

Magpies midfielder Taylor Adams impressed with 27 disposals and six tackles, while Crows defender Rory Laird had a game-high 37 touches.

Hamstring injuries to Tom Lynch and Tom Doedee worsened the result for the bottom-of-the-table Crows, while Magpie Jordan Roughead (concussion) didn't finish the game after being crunched by Darcy Fogarty.

The Magpies will now face Melbourne at the Gabba on Saturday evening, while the Crows will take on the Western Bulldogs at Metricon Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
