Former Crows captain Nathan van Berlo will return to the Club to take on a coaching role for Season 2021.

Currently West Coast’s midfield coach, he will continue to coach out the season with the Eagles before coming back to South Australia.

He played 205 games for Adelaide and transitioned to a development role in 2017, and then moved west to initially oversee West Coast’s stoppages.

Crows Head of Football Adam Kelly said van Berlo was identified as the ideal coach to fast track the development of the Club’s midfield.

“We are excited about what Nathan will bring to our coaching group given the high regard in which he is held at the Club and his experience, which includes being a part of the 2018 premiership at the Eagles,” Kelly said.

“He has a finals campaign to concentrate on and we look forward to him joining us later this year.”

The Club has already secured former Hawthorn, West Coast and Collingwood assistant Scott Burns who will be Matthew Nicks’ senior assistant coach and oversee the backline.
