A physical player who is equally as comfortable at the contest as she is as a marking forward, Ashleigh Woodland is coming off a career-best season for North Adelaide in the SANFLW.

The 22-year-old claimed the Roosters’ Best and Fairest in a premiership year, the second time she has won the award after also topping the votes in 2018.

In 2020, Woodland took home the SANFLW Leading Goalkicker award with 17 goals from 10 matches, including two four-goal hauls in the minor round.

The achievement is even more significant given she rotated between the midfield and forward line throughout the season.

Woodland played four AFLW games with Melbourne in 2019 before opting to return to South Australia for family reasons.

She was a train-on player with the Crows Women’s Team over the pre-season.

Crows GM of Football Administration Phil Harper said:

“Ash had a great season with North Adelaide, winning the SANFLW Goalkicking Award and North Adelaide’s Best and Fairest in a premiership year.

"Ash gives us some real flexibility. She’s a powerful athlete and can play key position at either end of the ground. Ash has AFLW experience after spending a season with Melbourne and is really eager for another opportunity in her home state.”
