Young Crows midfielder Harry Schoenberg made the most of his chances in 2020.

The No.26 played eight matches in his first season after debuting in Round 10 against Melbourne with 12 touches, two tackles and three inside-50s.

Running out in an AFL guernsey for the first team was an easy best moment of the year pick for Schoenberg.

“To have that opportunity given to me, it was the best moment,” Schoenberg told AFC Media.

“When Covid-19 hit, a lot of the boys didn’t get to play a lot of footy, and we spent the first half of the year just training… which I found difficult.

“To not only play that first game, but to share it with Sholly (Lachlan Sholl), one of my best mates at the Club, it’s something I’ll always remember.”

Away from football (almost), Schoenberg described the hub experience in Gold Coast as one of his best moments of the year.

“The hub was a big tick for me, especially being a first year player because I didn’t really know anyone,” he said.

“It was a great chance to get know the players, the coaches and the staff… it was just a really good bonding experience with everyone.”
