Adelaide forward Taylor Walker has named Lachlan Sholl, Bernie Vince and Andrew McLeod as the three best kicks he’s played with.

On Monday, Sholl was named the Rising Star nominee for Round Four following a dominant display that included 31 touches, eight marks and a goal.

“He’s a great kid (and) a phenomenal kick,” Walker told Triple M’s Roo & Ditts on Tuesday morning.

“He’d be in my top three kicks that I can lead to, over my career.

“He’s a ripping kid, one of the best characters you’ll ever meet.

“The Rising Star is a great reward for what he’s done over the last couple of years.”

When asked who filled the remaining slots in his top three, Walker went a step further and included a fourth.

“B.Vince is one, Andrew McLeod… and one more that’s fourth, Tommy Lynch,” Walker said.

“He’s a beautiful kick to a lead.

“To get in the top three, you need to be able to kick on both feet, long and short.”

On Sunday, Adelaide claimed a 41-point win over North Melbourne despite a third-quarter comeback from the Kangaroos.

Walker said the victory showed maturity from a young side, especially given captain Rory Sloane was out injured.

“We thought North would come out and throw everything they had at us,” Walker said.

“I think it was a very mature win for our boys in the end… (we’re) quite a young and inexperienced group and without the skipper.

“It was a great win for our Club.”
