Two-time premiership player Angela Foley has been named as the Crows’ captain for the 2021 AFLW Grand Final.

A member of Adelaide’s leadership group since the side’s inaugural year, Foley is a stalwart in the Crows’ back line.

Her impact on the game in season 2021 has been significant, averaging 2.7 rebound 50s and 11.7 disposals.

She steps in for Chelsea Randall, who was ruled out of the decider under the AFL’s concussion protocols after a heavy collision last week

While widely-lauded leader Randall leaves big shoes to fill, fellow foundation player Ebony Marinoff said Foley was the right person for the job.

“(Randall has) been incredible… it’s really sad for her to miss it but we’ve just gotta get it done for her,” Marinoff said.

“Angela Foley’s been in the leadership group since the inaugural year - her prep-up talks are really good.”

Marinoff said Foley would take on the role 100 per cent.

“She’ll be the captain on the day, there’s no doubt about that,” she said.

The Crows will take on Brisbane at Adelaide Oval in an unmissable Grand Final rematch on Saturday April 17, with first bounce at 1.30pm.

“Every time we take on the Lions it’s a battle, and this will be no different,” Marinoff said.
