Adelaide and Gold Coast have faced off 12 times since the Suns joined the league in 2011.

The Crows have won all 12 matches, including Round Five earlier this year, and remain the only team the Suns have never defeated.

Eddie Betts booted six goals in his 300th career game as the Crows ran away comfortable 73-point winners at Adelaide Oval.

Adelaide’s record at Metricon Stadium is the best of any team in the competition - having won all 10 games played at the ground since 1992.

North Melbourne have won one more match, but have also lost six games at the ground.

The Crows’ biggest win over the Suns came in Round 23, 2012 - a 91-point victory at Football Park on a Saturday afternoon.

EXTENDED SQUAD: Crows travel to Gold Coast with 28-man squad

In the last five games, Rory Sloane has been the Crows’ standout player, averaging 29.7 touches, 4.3 marks and 8.7 tackles.

Taylor Walker and Betts lead the way for the goal-kicking - averaging three a piece.

For the Suns, midfielder Touk Miller is averaging 22 touches, 7.3 tackles and four marks.

The Round 17 match will be just the second time the Crows and the Suns have faced off on a Saturday night.

Of the 12 games already played, nine have taken place either in the lunch or twilight time slot on a Saturday.

The 13th match between the two clubs will be just the second not to feature a Tom Lynch on the ground:

If Adelaide wins, it could rise to as high as fifth on the AFL ladder.

If Gold Coast wins, it can overtake Carlton and move out of last place.

First bounce is at 7.25pm AEST on Saturday night.
