Taylor Walker has extended an open offer to mega-star Chris Hemsworth for accommodation in Broken Hill during the filming of Mad Max, courtesy of an invite from his mother Margaret.

Another sequel to the cult Australian classic was announced earlier this week, with Hemsworth confirmed to star and filming to take place in New South Wales.

“She did say she’s free and available if he needed accommodation,” Walker told Triple M’s Roo & Ditts.

“She got a bit excited… it will be exciting to see if Mum gets to colour or cut his hair.”

On Sunday, Walker booted two goals and took a Mark of the Year contender in Adelaide’s loss to Fremantle.

The Crows key forward was in doubt leading into the match due to calf soreness, but has recovered well during the week.

“I pulled up pretty well, a little bit sore but pulled up better than I thought I would,” Walker said.

“It’s a little bit of tightness I had during the week… I did as much as I had to for training and got through the game which was nice.

“We’ll see how it pulls up this week for this weekend coming.”

Although his side suffered a loss in Round Five, Walker said the energy around the changeroom had improved from last year thanks to Adelaide’s young contingent.

“Winning certainly helps,” Walker said.

“I just love the thirst the kids have got to come in everyday and want to get better and learn.

“It’s infectious for older guys like myself and Lynchy and Sloaney.

“Those boys are running the Club and we’re jumping in behind them.”
