Mismatch Brewing and the Adelaide Football Club have teamed up to launch the brewery’s first mid-strength beer.

The Adelaide Crows Mid Ale has been carefully designed to maintain flavour whilst keeping alcohol levels low to produce a brew that appeals to Crows supporters and beer connoisseurs alike.

Ewan Brewerton, founder and brewer of Mismatch Brewing Co, said he was pleased with how the Mid Ale has come together.

“It’s been so much fun creating this beer with the Crows” Brewerton said.

“It is a great every-day beer with the perfect balance of hops, subtle lemon and grapefruit flavours, and a dry finish.”

“We are proud to have the Crows guernsey on a Mismatch Can, and equally proud of the ale in the can that we created together.”

Senior players Brodie Smith, Luke Brown and Jake Kelly recently travelled to the Mismatch Brewing facility at Lot 100 in the Adelaide Hills to see firsthand how the new Mid Ale was made.

“Brodie, Luke and Jake were great and really got involved in the brewing process – if they ever want a change in career, they know where to find me.”

Crows CEO Tim Silvers said the final product was the result of a truly collaborative process.

“During early conversations with Ewan, we discovered they have never developed a mid-strength ale before,” Silvers said.

“It felt like the perfect product for us as a Club to collaborate with them on.

“From the get-go, Mismatch Brewing has been a great local business to work with and we are excited to share this fantastic product with our fans and members.”

A strictly limited quantity of Adelaide Crows Mid Ale was sold via the Mismatch Brewing website.

It will also be hitting shelves at your local Thirsty Camel, Sip’n’Save, Celebrations and independent bottle shops from July 5.
