Dear Crows Members,

Most importantly, I hope you and your family and friends are safe and well in these very challenging times.

It has been a confronting day for everyone in South Australia as we entered lockdown or in the case of our players, coaches and some staff, relocate interstate.

Upon the SA Government declaring a state-wide lockdown, we were quickly told by the AFL that we would have to leave Adelaide.

Since then the plans have changed a couple of times, both our destination and departure time, but we now find ourselves heading to Melbourne tonight.

Our Round 19 game against Hawthorn, which had been set down for the Adelaide Oval this weekend, has been shifted to Marvel Stadium at 7.10pm (ACDT) on Saturday.

It is extremely disappointing that we won’t get to play in front of our Members like you.

There’s no doubt you are among the most passionate in Australian sport and your support is an inspiration to our young playing group on game day.

Put simply, you are the backbone of our Club and speaking to the players, I know they can’t wait to play in front of you again as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we will continue to communicate directly with you and share as much inner sanctum content as we possibly can, so you are across the team’s movements and preparations.

Everyone in the Crows family, as well as the broader competition, has confronted and overcome challenges like this over the past year and a half, and we will once again get through this latest test together.

Rarely have our everyday lives been so unpredictable but one constant is the need to always prioritise community health and wellbeing.

Our thoughts are with everyone who is in lockdown. Take care of each other and stay safe.

Regards,

Tim
