After being overlooked in South Australia’s initial training squad, Schoenberg not only pushed himself back into the team for the 2019 under-18 championships but dominated as a midfield, earning SA’s MVP award and All Australian honours. Adelaide selected the Woodville-West Torrens player with pick No. 24 in the 2019 Draft and he debuted in Round 10, 2020, playing the remaining eight games of the season.
