Prior to her time with the Tigers, she played 23 AFLW games for Carlton before adding a further 43 matches across three seasons with Richmond. Renowned for her toughness, tackling pressure and professionalism, Egan brought 66 games of AFLW experience to West Lakes and was voted into Adelaide's leadership group ahead of her first season at the Club.
