Tonon was selected with Pick No.20 at the 2021 AFLW Draft. She enjoyed an excellent 2021 season, winning a SANFLW premiership with Glenelg and earning selection in the SANFLW Team of the Year as a defender. She also represented South Australia at the under-19 AFLW Championships and received a call-up to the AFLW Academy mid-year. Originally from Mount Gambier, Tonon reads the play well across half-back and can break the lines on a wing. She began her career at the Crows as a forward, playing three games in 2022 (Season Six), then seven in both Season Seven and Eight. Tonon, however, became a more consistent cog in Adelaide’s side in 2024, and switched back to defence. Tonon also spent some time on the wing and inside-50 when called upon. She is coming off a strong season in 2024, recording a career-best return in disposals and featuring in all but two games, which she missed due to an ankle injury.
