A career-high goal haul earned Crow Josh Jenkins maximum votes against West Coast on Sunday.

Jenkins kicked 6.1 in Adelaide’s big win over the Eagles to be the leading goalkicker on the ground. The key forward also took six marks, including a game and equal-round high five contested.

Dashing half-back Brodie Smith was adjudged the next-best player, receiving eight votes from coaches Scott Camporeale and Adam Simpson. Smith, who collected 29 touches, was the equal-leading possession-getter on the ground. He also generated a game and Round 22-high 11 rebound 50ms, twice as many as the next-best player in the game.

Patrick Dangerfield polled six votes to move into ninth place overall in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award. Dangerfield racked up 28 disposals and a team-high nine clearances. He also generated five inside 50ms and kicked a goal.

Key-position Crows Taylor Walker and Daniel Talia each attracted two votes. Walker slotted three goals and sent the ball inside attacking 50m seven times – more than any other player on the ground. The Adelaide captain also took a game-high 12 marks, including four inside 50m.

Talia held runaway Coleman Medal leader Josh Kennedy to one goal and a solitary mark in another impressive defensive display. He also won more possessions (13) than the Eagles spearhead (11).

Midfielders Rory Sloane and Scott Thompson rounded out the voting, as the Crows made a clean sweep. Like Smith, Thompson collected 29 possessions to go with six marks and five inside 50ms, and laid an equal-game high seven tackles. Sloane, who also applied seven tackles, finished with 25 touches, six marks, two clearances and a goal.

Jenkins, Collingwood onballer Taylor Adams and Western Bulldogs star Marcus Bontempelli were the only players to receive a perfect 10 from the coaches on the weekend. Sydney Swans duo Dan Hannebery and Josh Kennedy were the big movers on the overall leaderboard. Both players earned nine votes in Sydney’s win over St Kilda. Hannebery (94) is now within six votes of Fremantle champion Nat Fyfe, who remains on top with 100 votes, with one round to play. Kennedy (82) has climbed to outright third ahead of Todd Goldstein and David Mundy, who are equal-fourth on 73 votes.
