Adelaide midfielder Hannah Munyard says bringing the pressure from the first bounce is a focus ahead of the clash with GWS on Saturday.

The Crows travel to NSW to take on the Giants for their Round Seven game and are hoping to return to the winners’ list after a one-point defeat against the Bulldogs last weekend.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Munyard said players had learned a lot from the loss and were ready to put that to the test against the Giants.

“The opening five minutes of each quarter are really important and I think they really show how it might play out,” Munyard said.

“I am proud of the group with how we were able to come together and switch the game (against the Bulldogs) onto our terms.

“But it actually starts at the beginning of the game… When the first siren goes and the ball goes up, that’s when we have to hit the intensity of the game.

"When the first siren goes and the ball goes up, that’s when we have to hit the intensity of the game.

“It’s (about) that pressure as soon as that first ball goes up and making sure we are getting those tackles laid and that we are sticking them and hitting the scoreboard early as well.”

Adelaide’s players and staff will once again enjoy a whirlwind fly in and fly out away trip.

Munyard, who booted her first goal in the tri colours against the Bulldogs, said away games helped boost the camaraderie and team connection.

“We are a really tight bunch and obviously travelling and spending time on the plane and buses is always fun,” Munyard said.

“It’s even better when you do get those wins and you’re travelling home together.

“Hopefully we can keep that going and we will give it our best shot.”

Adelaide takes on GWS at Henson Park, NSW, on Saturday February 19.

The first bounce is at 2.40pm (ACDT).
