The Adelaide Football Club today selected four players in the NAB AFL Rookie Draft.They are:Andrew McIntyre (North Adelaide)March 10 1987, 189cmA tall defender and utility who played league football this year for North. Played SA U18s in 2005.James Turner (South Adelaide)September 8 1988, 190cmTall forward with good pace who played for SA Under 18s this year. Played at reserves level with South in 2006.Rhys Archard (South Adelaide)April 15 1983, 178cmSmall midfielder who won South’s best and fairest award in 2006. Originally from Echuca in country Victoria and joined the Panthers this year.Greg Gallman (North Adelaide)December 6 1988, 188cmKey defender who played for SA U18s in 2006. Played U19s for North.Crows recruitment manager James Fantasia said, "Rhys Archard is our first mature aged rookie, and at 23 comes in on the back of a best and fairest for South Adelaide (in the SANFL), so it’s an exciting opportunity for him."Andrew McIntyre has played league footy this year (for North Adelaide), and James Turner and Greg Gallman are state representatives for their age group, have played senior footy and hopefully can progress another step next year.”Adelaide did not have a selection in the NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft.
