First-year Crow Taylah Levy says it was an exciting moment to be involved in the match-winning goal on the weekend and secure her first victory in the tri colours.

Adelaide produced a crucial come-from-behind victory over fellow contender North Melbourne last weekend to secure a top-two finish, with Levy setting up the match-winning goal.

Trailing by three points, Levy won the ball inside 50 and quickly disposed of it, handballing it to the running Niamh Kelly who slotted through the match-winning goal with 90 seconds remaining.

Speaking to AFC Media, Levy said she knew Kelly was in the right spot when she heard her calling for it.

“When I handballed the ball to Niamh it was pretty exciting,” Levy said.

“I was kind of in shock that it was in my hands, but I heard her screaming from a mile away, so I just knew she was in the right position and to give her the ball.

“It was pretty exciting to get my first win on the weekend,

“Getting a Gatorade shower wasn’t what I thought it would be, but it was awesome.

“(After losing to Brisbane) to come home and win in front of all my family and friends was awesome.”

The 22-year-old joined the Club this season as a rookie, after spending three years playing college basketball at Cleveland State University in the United States.

Since making her debut a fortnight ago against the Lions, Levy has found her place in the side, averaging nine disposals and 2.5 clearances a game.

Now with two games under her belt, Levy said she feels settled thanks to the support of her teammates and the strong culture among the playing group.

“Playing against two of the best teams in the competition was kind of scary coming into it,” Levy said.

“To know that I’ve got my team behind me and the support from everyone, I knew I could just play my role and do what I do.

“Obviously my first year coming back from the States and playing footy over here is surreal.

“Coming into the Club I knew we were very competitive, had a good culture and atmosphere, but to be amongst it and in it is awesome and is a great feeling.”

Getting the win against North secured Adelaide a top-two finish, and a home final - an important step heading into the AFLW Finals with just one minor round game left this weekend.

“I think getting the win right before the Finals come up is an important piece,” Levy said.

“We will go over to West Coast this week and hopefully get the job done over there.

“Then just hit finals running and I think that is exciting for the group and builds that confidence going into some pretty big games.”

Adelaide takes on West Coast at Mineral Resources Park on Saturday at 4.35pm (ACDT).
