Adelaide’s leading goal kicker and All Australian Danielle Ponter headlines a host of players who have recommitted to the Club for next year.

Ponter will remain at the Crows’ nest in 2024 after signing a new one-year deal which follows a career-best season.

The two-time Premiership player booted 20 majors to be crowned Adelaide’s top goal kicker in 2023, while also playing through the midfield.

The 23-year-old was named in the All Australian team for the first time and notched up her 50th game in Round Five.

Ponter is among a list of players who have re-signed with the Club for next year including leadership group members Eloise Jones and Stevie-Lee Thompson, along with versatile talls Caitlin Gould and Zoe Prowse, who have also extended their stays until at least the end of 2024.

Season Six Premiership players Najwa Allen and Hannah Munyard have also recommitted, alongside 22-under-22 team member Madison Newman, exciting forward Jess Waterhouse and two-time Premiership utility Deni Varnhagen.

Emerging defenders Kiera Mueller and Keeley Kustermann are also locked in for 2024, joining youngsters Taylah Levy and Brooke Smith who made their debuts this season.

Adelaide Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said securing the signatures of another 14 players was a testament to the culture that had been created at West Lakes.

“It is really pleasing to have retained a core group of our 2023 squad and we appreciate their continued loyalty and investment in our program,” Harper said.

“We are committed to developing the young talent in our existing playing group and believe these players are an important part of our future.”
