My favourite memory is as recent as last year when I went back to Adelaide on a holiday. Whilst we were there I took my young son to Football Park but training was a lockout, but we managed to get a few autographs. On the way back to WA we shared the flight with the entire Crows team when they came across to play the Eagles for top spot on the ladder. Not only did we get quite a few autographs but also had a chat with some of them. I took a photo of "Roo" and my son at the Perth airport which has pride of place in my office. The best part though was sitting right on the fence the next day at Subiaco Oval watching our team beat the Eagles, in such a parochial environment it was great to be there waving the flag. To snatch top spot from a team I have grown to dislike over the years was very sweet considering there supporters thought it was going to be easy. If we consistently play this year as we did in that game we are going to have a great year. I think we have learnt a lot from last years finals campaign and can only improve. Go The Crows in 2006. My favourate moment is when I won a competition to take my class to the Crows club rooms. Matthew Clarke took us around and we saw all the training rooms. One day I want to play for the Crows.Nicholas
My memory would have to be my first Crows match, it was pouring with rain, we were playing Hawthorn at Footy Park when the ball got bogged in the centre circle and you saw Darren Jarman run through full pace and pick it up as clean as you'd like, best ball handling i've seen except McLeods of course. I'm a Croweater. Always a Croweater, and forever a Crow supporter. I'm now implanted as an expat aussie in the deep south of the Mississippi delta ( USA ). The best and truest form of perfection is my memory of Adelaide's first premiership win. My sister and I sat in the stands with our voices and hearts atuned to the sound of our victory that day, and even now as I sit on my couch thinking always of my family , that is one memory that Is always there in my heart and mind when I remember the day the crows brought home the premiership cup and the closeness in which it gave my sister and I. Thanks you Crows!!! Go Crows 2006!!! SamanthaMy fave Crows memory was one finals against Sydney before winning a premiership and PETER VARDY was an absolute star! He kicked like five goals and it was raining... it was an awesome hard fought out match! Also prob the best memory ever is absolutely killing Port in the finals in '5. I was at my local footy club celebrating them winning the A Grade flag and to see the Crows thrash them on the big screen made the night even better! GO CROWS in 2006! Amanda
When Darren Jarman put Byron Pickett down in the '98 grand final! Fair hip and shoulder! ‘Jars’ is the greatest ever! He should still be playing. Anthony MartinOK favourite memory has to be of Brett Burton pouring me a free beer/beers at the ‘Porties’ (Pt Noarlunga) Pub last night. What a legend. Doesn’t get much better than that ay. Except when we win the Grand Final next year! Then I'll be pouring the beers, oh yeah lots-o-beers. Cheers Birdman keep flying high mate. And to the Crows, what can I say! I’m just glad I’m in the state this time. I got the same feeling as in 97, 98. And a good feeling it is too. Let’s keep tackling hard and keeping the pressure on. Bring on September! The grand finals are ones that stick in mind, but apart from the obvious I will never forget Darren Jarman’s last season. One game sticks out in my mind against Carlton at Football Park! The ball came to the pocket on the outer wing on the tv screen side, and Jarman was being closely followed by SOS. he bought the ball to ground as both players fought over it in slippery conditions, somehow "Jars" emerged with the ball with one of the best, and most clean pick-ups of the ball you’ve ever seen, with SOS hot on his tail he ran towards the boundary, 50 metres out looking so relaxed he kicked the ball that when in for a goal! I just remember him looking towards our direction (the crowd), leaning back, and putting both hands in the air as if to say "how do you like that bit of Jarman magic?" It was genius! Also Ben Hart’s mark about 6 yrs ago against the saints was a good one in the back line! I hope they give me a new favourite memory this year! C'mon boys! John BMy favourite memory is when McLeod won the Norm Smith. The home and away season for 2005 was awesome. Too bad about the prelim, but there's always next year. Well done! Josh GillThrashig that mob from down the road and in doing so showing who is THE PRIDE OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA. BenThe 83 point trashing of the Power 10/09/2005 to squash their back to back Premiers dream. Julie CowleyOne of my best CROWS memories will be Saturday Nights Ultimate Final SHOWDOWN! The whole week was huge! Lining up Monday morning for tickets! Having to put up the other mob all week acting like they had won already! Then after getting to AAMI I was interviewed by Mark Aiston and went live on TV! Then we not only WON we flogged them! Then back to Crows Shed and a friend won a signed match ball! What an awesome day! Finally got home at 1am and stayed up till 4am to watch the game again! Thanks Adelaide Football Club for a 2005 CROWS SHOWDOWN HATRICK! The Best of Luck for the Preliminary Final. LauraMy favorite memory has to be the look on 'Choccos' face as his words from this time last year came back and bit him on the butt. The gap between the mighty Adelaide Football Club and the other mob. That gap will always exist despite the scoreboard, the Crows are the team for all South Aussies. Go you mighty Crows and thanks for the memories boys. RandallThere are so many memories of this fantanstic club but the one I still get a thrill out of was in 1993, the Crows were playing North Melbourne and Modra took the mark of the year. I can still see it in slow motion. It was pure poetry. I am sure tonight's game against Port Adelaide will be added to the memories as a fantastic victory. TeresaAndrew McLeod winning back-to-back Norm Smith Medals. Benjamin BosnichRemember the time Adelaide came top of the ladder and won the premiership in 2005. Let's make it happen boys. DanielWhen the Crows won their Back-to-Back final and my whole family got in the car with the Crows flag and scarfs were streaming out the windows and drove around honking and screaming! The best fun ever! Go the Crows! You can win it! KarinaI think that every week the Crows give us another favourite memory. They have done themselves and all of us proud and always have. Every year the Crows have been a different group and this year I think they have come real close to the premiership sides of yesteryear.Well done guys! Roo, keep your chin up we know you're a good guy and tribunal knows that too. Things will be ok.
