Adelaide heads into the AFLW’s 10th season with a fixture headlined by a Friday night Showdown and a home game against its fiercest rival.
The League released the 2025 NAB AFLW Premiership Season Fixture on Friday, revealing the Crows will face the Brisbane Lions - a foundation team which played Adelaide in the competition’s inaugural grand final - in Round Four at Norwood Oval.
The Crows will kick off their 12-game campaign against St Kilda at RSEA Park in Melbourne on Sunday, August 17, with the Club’s first home game on the following Sunday versus Geelong at Unley Oval.
Adelaide’s remaining home games include matches against Sydney, West Coast, Port Adelaide, and Fremantle.
There will be four games at The Parade and two at Unley Oval.
The clash against the Dockers will be hosted on the weekend starting October 31, with the date and time yet to be released.
Crows CEO Tim Silvers said the 10th AFLW season was a significant milestone for the football community and noted five current Adelaide players had been part of the entire journey.
“We are fortunate to have players like Ebony Marinoff, Sarah Allan, Chelsea Randall, Stevie Lee-Thompson and Anne Hatchard, who have been with us since the start and done the hard yards, and seen this competition evolve to what it is today,” Silvers said.
“There’s a number of firsts for us in this fixture and for example, we have never before played at Frankston or Arden Street, nor have we come up against the Eagles in Adelaide.
“Once again, there’s lots to like from a member and fan perspective, and in regards to high performance needs, we have plenty of seven-day breaks.
“Every season is important but this one has added significance because it’s Matthew Clarke’s last as our Senior Coach, and you can already see the players and coaches have a real edge, or even greater resolve, to the way they are going about things.”
