Adelaide’s all-time leading goal scorer Danielle Ponter will keep kicking goals in the Crows tri-colours after signing a two-year contract extension.

The two-time AFLW premiership winner will stay at the Club until at least the end of the 2027 season.

The 26-year-old, who is only nine goals away from kicking her milestone 100th major and is 14 games away from playing her milestone 100th AFLW match, said she was looking forward to two more seasons with the Crows.

“I love this Club, and this really special group of players, and we’re all on a journey together to push for more premiership success,” Ponter said.

“It means so much to me to pull on the Crows jumper and I can’t wait to keep doing it this season and next.

“I’m really excited for the future and I’m looking forward to getting down to hard work with our new Coach Ryan Davis, along with our playing group including the emerging talented youngsters we also have on our list.”

Ponter was drafted with Pick 48 in the 2018 Draft and made her AFLW debut in Round Two 2019, having now played 86 games across eight seasons.

She played pivotal roles in Adelaide’s 2019 and 2022 (Season 6) premiership wins, going on to garner All Australian honours in 2023.

Ponter played every match of the 2025 season, averaging a career-best three marks per game, along with 12.3 disposals.

Crows Head of AFLW Phil Harper said Ponter had been an important cog in Adelaide’s forward line since her debut season in 2019 and pleasingly had now also flourished with a move into the midfield.

“DP is a highly talented player, so we’re thrilled to have her re-sign again for another two years,” Harper said.

“She is really admired by her teammates for her football skills and is now also developing as a strong leader both on and off the field and will no doubt grow into that role further over the next couple of years.”
