Toby and Nick Murray will be the third set of brothers to play together in Adelaide’s AFL side.
Thirty years after the first Crows siblings Andrew and Darren Jarman were united in the tri colours, Toby has been named to make his AFL debut in Adelaide's Round One clash against Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday night.
Toby will be the third brother in the family to play AFL, following Sam who played 13 games for Collingwood in 2018-19 and Nick, who started with the Crows in 2021.
Inaugural Crow Andrew Jarman made his AFL debut on the same night as younger brother Darren, who had joined Hawthorn for the 1991 season.
It was not until round one of 1996 that they played together as Crows, after Darren was traded back to South Australia.
Brad and Matt Crouch were Adelaide’s other brothers in arms. Brad made his AFL debut with Adelaide in 2013 and younger brother Matt was drafted by the Crows at the end of that year. They first played together in the AFL side in the last round of the 2014 season.
Current Crow Mitch Hinge’s older brother John played one AFL game for the Crows in 2007 but there was a 13-year gap before Mitch joined Adelaide from Brisbane.

Former Crows AFL captain Rory Sloane’s sister Shae played AFLW for Melbourne.
