Daddy Dawson hits us with the “don’t argue” and goal
Crows Skipper Jordan Dawson lifted when his side needed it the most in the second quarter with a huge don’t argue on Calton’s Ben Ainsworth, before running on to kick a goal to put Adelaide in front.
Dawson’s major had the 49,000-strong crowd at Adelaide Oval singing along to his goal song ‘Boney M’s Daddy Cool’ and sparked his team into kicking three unanswered goals.
Making it all even more special, it was also Dawson’s 29th birthday. What a way to celebrate!
City of churches hit with torrential downpour
Wild weather in SA caused havoc during the day on Thursday, before initially clearing for the start of the Crows’ game.
Just when fans thought they were safe, a torrential downpour hit the city during half-time, causing fans to throw on their ponchos and run for cover.
To make the best of a soggy situation, the crowd could be heard singing ‘Rain’ by Dragon, with “It’s been raaaaiiinnning for so long’, echoing through Adelaide Oval.
Enzo leads the team song
The win created an extra special moment for Enzo, a young Crows fan with an extremely rare condition called Progeria – the disease of premature and rapid ageing.
The 14-year-old led the Crows’ team song after the game and got plenty of love from his favourite players.
