Adelaide’s forward line was firing on Saturday as the Club recorded it’s biggest ever AFLW margin with a 60-point win over Melbourne at Casey Fields.

The win secured the Club’s first minor premiership and several league records as eight goal kickers contributed to the Crows’ 10 majors.

A final percentage of 212.9 was a competition record, as was the 396 total points scored across the season.

Adelaide’s final score of 10.8 was the Club’s second highest total in the competition, just two behinds shy of its 10.10 (70) record from Round Seven in 2017.

It was the fourth highest AFLW score and the third time Adelaide has booted 10 goals this season.

In front of goal, Irish recruit Ailish Considine hit the scoreboard for the first time in her short career.

She booted 2.1 to go with her seven disposals and two marks.

The usual suspects played their part as Erin Phillips recorded a game-high 22 touches and Ebony Marinoff broke through for her first goal in the competition.

The duo led the league in disposal averages, Marinoff at 22.7 per game and Phillips 21.7.

Phillips cleaned up with her fifth 20+ disposal game of the season, she also collected three marks and three tackles.

For 21-year-old Marinoff, her first AFLW goal after three seasons and in her 22nd game was the highlight, as she split the sticks with less than five minutes to play in the final quarter.

It was another record-breaking performance for the midfielder as she collected the most disposals of any AFLW player in one season with 159 in seven games.

Stevie-Lee Thompson booted her league-leading 13th goal of the season to cap off a remarkable home-and-away campaign, while Jess Foley kicked two majors to go with her 15 touches, two marks and six tackles.

Surprisingly, Adelaide only had eight more disposals than the Demons, 216-208, with the key advantage being efficiency inside-50.

Adelaide fired off 23 shots from 34 inside-50s at 68 per cent, while Melbourne could only manage two shots from 24 at just eight per cent.

The Crows led contested possessions 103-94 and clearances 30-16, including centre clearances 7-3.
