Crows forward Josh Jenkins is set to return against Port Adelaide in Showdown 47 on Saturday.

The 30-year-old has been named in Don Pyke’s 22 after fast tracking his recovery from a knee injury suffered in Adelaide’s win over Richmond in Round 13.

Crows Head of Football Brett Burton said Jenkins had been extremely diligent with his rehabilitation.

“Josh has been the total professional, which has allowed him to recover quickly,” Burton said.

“Initially, we thought he could miss 4-6 weeks, so we’re very pleased he’s been closer to the three week mark.

“He’ll need to get through tomorrow’s captains run, but we expect him to be available to play.”

PREVIEW: Adelaide v Port Adelaide

Jenkins is one of three changes to the Crows side who lost to Geelong by 27 points.

Wayne Milera Junior has also been named after missing one week with a minor back injury, while wingman David Mackay has earned a senior recall from the SANFL.

The trio come in for Bryce Gibbs, Elliott Himmelberg and Ben Davis, who have all been omitted.

Tom Lynch (calf) and Cam Ellis-Yolmen (shin) will miss Showdown 47 after failing to pass fitness tests.

Burton said Lynch completed Wednesday’s main training session, but was not 100 per cent comfortable in his movement.

“When he’s pushing off to accelerate, he’s still not completely comfortable,” Burton said.

“Unfortunately, he’ll miss Saturday’s game, but we’re hopeful he’ll be ready for next week.”

SANFL: Six inclusions for Round 12

As for Ellis-Yolmen, Burton said the midfielder had struggled to overcome a low-level stress reaction to his fibula.

“We were hopeful a week of rest would be enough, but unfortunately Cam was unable to get through training on Wednesday,” Burton said.

“We will now give Cam some more time to rest and rehabilitate and are hopeful he will be available in a couple of weeks time.”

The Crows and Power will compete for the Variety Showdown Shield this Saturday.

First bounce is at 4.05pm ACST and the game will be broadcast live on Channel 7 Adelaide and Fox Footy from 4pm local time.

The Crows SANFL side will take on the Redlegs at Norwood Oval at 2.10pm.
