Will Hamill played all but one game in his first season at Adelaide, running off half-back in 20 matches for the SANFL Crows.

The 18-year-old was recruited from Dandenong with pick 30 in the 2018 National Draft and impressed in the SANFL side’s defence.

He missed the final home and away game of the season due to a calf injury sustained against Woodville-West Torrens in Round 17 but returned for Adelaide’s finals campaign.

Round 12 v Norwood

Hamill had a quiet game statistically against the Redlegs - 11 disposals, three marks and two inside-50s - but his defensive efforts were second to none.

Hamill used his speed and pressure to shut down Norwood’s Anthony Wilson – well renowned as one of the quickest players in the SANFL competition.

The former Crow was kept to just 10 disposals by Hamill, as Adelaide went on to win by 37 points.
