To celebrate Sir Doug Nicholls Round, Kuwarna utility Isaac Cumming has put together a list of his top five Indigenous AFL players of all time.

Taking on co-host duties alongside Triple M’s Mark “Thomo” Thomas for this week’s episode of Crows Chat - Cumming was tasked with ranking his top five indigenous players, past or present.

Isaac Cumming’s top five Indigenous players of all time

No.5 - Michael O’Loughlin

“At number five I’ve got a great Swans player in Mickey O, Michael O’Loughlin. I was a big Swans nuffy growing up and I used to love the vision of him kicking that goal and running into the West Coast supporters and screaming in their face.”

No.4 - Andrew McLeod

“Number four I’ve got Andrew McLeod, I think he would be in most people’s top five, top three, maybe even number one - I used to watch a lot of his highlights when I was a half back.”

No.3 - Kysaiah Pickett

“My number three plays currently, and that’s Kozzie Pickett, I love him that much. He’s just unbelievable to watch and I just love him.”

No. 2 - Eddie Betts

“At number two I’ve got Eddie Betts, just an absolute showman and I would have loved to have played at the Adelaide Crows when he was up and about. It would have been so much fun.”

“He kicked an unbelievable goal actually against the Giants when I was there, I didn’t play in that game but was watching it and thought being on the same side as him at AO would have been so special.”

No.1 - Lance Franklin

“He’s a clear number one for me and that’s Buddy Franklin, I don’t even know if I need to explain it but he’s a rockstar isn’t he - just swagger, aura, the works - he could do no wrong.”

Defender Nick Murray also joined the show, and shared his list, shouting out a former teammate and his favourite player growing up (who took out the number one spot).
