The Adelaide Crows Foundation will expand its popular STEM Footy program across metropolitan and regional South Australia after securing support through the Westpac Better Futures Grant.
The funding will help the Foundation deliver STEM Footy to approximately 6000 primary school students over the next two years, providing around 180,000 hours of STEM learning experiences.
STEM Footy uses football as a practical and engaging platform to teach students science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), while developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
The Westpac Better Futures Grant will support program delivery in schools, the creation of new digital learning resources and professional learning opportunities for teachers.
A key focus of the expansion will be increasing access for students in regional communities, ensuring more young South Australians can benefit from the program regardless of where they live.
The funding will also strengthen support for educators by providing tools and resources that can continue to be used in classrooms long after the program has been delivered.
The investment represents a significant boost for the Adelaide Crows Foundation’s education initiatives and will help inspire the next generation through the power of football.
