Adelaide and St Kilda have faced off 43 times since the Crows joined the competition in 1991.

The ledger stands at 27-15, in favour of the Crows.

The Saints have not beaten Adelaide since Round 18, 2011 - meaning Adelaide is on a nine-game winning streak.

St Kilda is one of just two teams the Crows have drawn against, the other being Collingwood.

Over the past five games, Josh Jenkins and Sam Jacobs have been the standout players according to AFL average player ratings.

Jenkins has averaged 3.7 goals per game and nine marks.

For the Saints, Shane Savage has impressed with 28 disposals and 7.3 marks per match.

Adelaide has taken on St Kilda in two finals matches over the past 28 years, a quarter-final loss in 2005 and the famous Grand Final win in 1997.

Since 1993, Robert Harvey leads the fixture for disposals per match (27.9 across 20 games), followed closely by Matt Crouch (27.3 disposals in six games).

St Kilda caretaker coach Brett Ratten has won both matches since taking over from Alan Richardson ahead of Round 18.

Ratten - who coached Carlton for five and a half seasons - has led his side to wins over Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs.

His career-winning percentage sits at 52.1, more than 10 per cent behind Adelaide coach Don Pyke (62.5).

This will be the first time Pyke and Ratten face off as senior coaches.

If Adelaide wins, it will hold its position in the top eight.

If St Kilda wins, it will move level with the Crows on nine wins, but is unlikely to climb above because of its low percentage (85 per cent).
