Paul Seedsman’s performance was a silver lining in Adelaide’s 27-point loss to Geelong on Friday night.

The wingman booted two impressive goals - his first opened the scoring from 60 metres and his second saw him burn Joel Selwood and split the sticks in the third.

Seedsman finished with 28 touches in his seventh game of 2019, his run-and-carry showcased by seven running bounces - the second most by a player in Round 15.

Co-captain Rory Sloane provided his usual hard-nosed performance through a game-high 16 contested possessions and nine clearances to go along with six tackles, three marks and three inside-50s.

He is ranked fourth overall in the AFL for tackles with 89.

Sloane and Matt Crouch posted identical disposal stats, 30 each at an identical 73.3 per cent efficiency.

Crouch notched 13 contested possessions, six clearances and five tackles.

Against the experienced ruck pairing of Mark Blicavs and Rhys Stanley - who have played a combined 274 games - Reilly O’Brien edged them out at contestes with 39 hit-outs to their 34.

O’Brien had 18 touches, 12 contested possessions, seven tackles, six clearances and a goal, providing solid follow-up work around the stoppages.

Midfielder Brad Crouch had a busy outing with 27 disposals, six inside-50s, five tackles and four clearances.

He hit the scoreboard but was unable to make a serious impact, kicking two behinds.

In defence, Alex Keath claimed four intercept marks and eight intercept possessions while Rory Laird collected 23 disposals at 91.3 per cent efficiency.

Elliott Himmelberg chimed in with two goals and a goal assist from nine touches.
