With their final pick in the 2019 AFLW Draft, Adelaide selected Chelsea Biddell, a mature-age key forward with a booming kick and strong mark.
Biddell is from a basketball background and has good agility and power to go with her goal sense.
Chelsea Biddell – Pick No. 102
Club: West Adelaide
- Biddell finished second in the 2019 SANFL Women’s goalkicking despite being limited to eight games through injury
- She also averaged nearly four marks per game for SANFLW club West Adelaide
- Came runner-up in West Adelaide’s 2018 best and fairest and was also named in the 2018 SANFLW Team of the Year
Crows GM of Football Administration Phil Harper said:
“Chelsea is a smart and natural footballer,” Harper said.
“She’s been one of the best forwards in the SANFLW for the past couple of seasons and deserves her opportunity.
“Unfortunately, Chelsea injured her knee in the middle of the year and required surgery.
“She’s recovering well and we’re looking forward to seeing what Chelsea can do after a big pre-season.”
