Adelaide midfielder Matt Crouch will head straight into the CBD for a steak once Australia’s social-distancing rules are eased.

Following a catch-up with his interstate parents, Crouch plans to sink his teeth into a meal in Adelaide's centre.

“Probably catching up with the parents and seeing them (will be first),” Crouch told AFC Media.

“But my favourite steak place is in the city... I really want to go there for a steak.”

Despite the temptation to head home to Ballarat, Matt and older brother Brad elected to stay in Adelaide in preparation for football’s return.

“We considered it, but the isolation rules… once we get back there for two weeks, back here for two weeks (in isolation) probably isn’t going to be a lot of fun,” Crouch said.

“It’s a hard one, because we don’t know when we’re going to start games… it’s all up in the air.

“We’re trying to keep busy, played some golf today. It hasn’t been too bad, but it’s a very strange time.”

Stuck at home, much like the rest of the country, Crouch has been keeping sane with his workout regimen, a bit of golf and his partner, Ellie.

“We’re in the process of getting a labrador,” Crouch said.

“They (the breeder) haven’t got any at the moment, so we have to hold off for another month.

“We’ll pull the trigger on that as soon as possible.”
