“The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is extremely grateful for the continued support of Crows’ fans and the Crows Foundation. The money raised from your generous contributions to the Ride to Cure Diabetes will fund the best and most promising research to find a cure for type 1 (juvenile) diabetes and its complications. This includes exciting research at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide on islet transplantation – a groundbreaking procedure that is showing great promise as a cure for type 1.

“We know that type 1 diabetes is a cause close to your hearts, as Crows footballer Nathan Bassett suffers from the disease. You support will help to find a cure for Nathan and the 140,000 Australians living with type 1 diabetes.”

Mike Wilson, CEO, Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund

Chasing funds for any charity is inevitably enhanced by association with high profile organisations such as the Crows Foundation, infinitely more so when the sponsor is so highly respected both within the sporting fraternity and the broader business world.

Unarguably, league football today is big business which brings with it additional responsibilities other than fiscal.

The public face of the Adelaide Crows has always been that of a community caring and community involved entity and their attention to community issues is widely known and respected.

We as a charitable Foundation have benefited from, (even in a small way) sharing a platform with a high profile successful organisation such as the Adelaide Football Club.

With the Chairman’s Luncheon and other very public events, Professor David David AC has been provided with a platform from which to speak about the issues of treating and caring for those who need the help of Craniofacial surgery.

We happily ally ourselves with the Crows in our own Newsletter and feature the Crows logo.

All the above have increased public awareness in our cause and we are indebted to the Crows Foundation in seeing fit to include the Australian Craniofacial Foundation in the generosity.

On behalf of the Salisbury Heights OSHC we sincerely thank the Crows foundation for their donation to our non-profit service. With the donation we have been able to purchase a large snakes and ladders, noughts and crosses easel, new board games, balls and outdoor equipment which the children are enjoying emensely. Without this support we would have been unable to purchase this much needed new equipment. Thank you so much.

We recently sought a donation from the Adelaide Crows Football Club to support and provide footballs to the Quorn football club junior under 9s through to the under 15s. The $300.00 donation has been dispersed via the club Junior Committee Manager Mr Greg Haines. The juniors have received their new footballs, and we believe all are very grateful. Prior to the donation the juniors had been sharing footballs at training and game day.
Aboriginal Family Support Services is very grateful for the assistance provided by the Crows Board of Directors and looks forward to representing and promoting the foundation in the future.
