Adelaide has been bolstered by the return of experienced players Tom Lynch and Richard Douglas for Saturday night’s clash with St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.

Lynch will play his first game of the season after missing the opening two rounds through a combination of illness and injury.

Douglas earns an immediate recall having served a one-game suspension for rough conduct against Essendon midfielder Zach Merrett in the Club’s season-opener.

Rory Sloane (foot strain), Daniel Talia (knee) and David Mackay (concussion) have all been selected to play against the Saints after overcoming injuries sustained in last week’s win over Richmond.

Crows Head of Football Brett Burton said Sloane had one more box to tick at open training on Friday.

“Sloaney’s a professional in the way he goes about his business,” he said.

“He’s still got another training session to get through on Friday, but is tracking along pretty well now.”

All Australian Matt Crouch, who will miss three weeks with a hamstring injury, and young forward Darcy Fogarty are out of the team that beat the Tigers.

Burton said two-gamer Fogarty could consider himself unlucky to be squeezed out after a promising start to his AFL career.

“Fog hasn’t done too much wrong,” Burton said.

“He’s had a great presence and finished off with some goals.

“We’re very excited about what he’s been able to do so far, but it’s the reality of footy when you’ve got one of your leaders coming in (someone has to make way) and a high-calibre player like ‘Lynchy’ takes his spot.

“It’s great for the team to have that pressure on selection and Darce will get his opportunity again, I’m sure.”

Fogarty, Curtly Hampton, Patrick Wilson and ruckman Reilly O’Brien are the emergencies.

The SANFL Crows team has also been strengthened, with onballers Riley Knight, Curtly Hampton and Myles Poholke returning from injury against Sturt on Sunday. See the full SANFL team
