Winning her first AFLW game in Round Two was the highlight of Crows forward Chelsea Biddell’s 2020.

Biddell was drafted to the Crows at the end of 2019 and debuted in Round One of the 2020 AFLW season.

That game didn’t get the results the Crows were after, so the highlight came when Adelaide staged a dramatic, late fightback in Round Two against St Kilda to get the win.

Making it even more special, Biddell kicked her first goal in the game to contribute to the victory.

“Winning the first game was the best moment I reckon, because the debut game wasn’t the best to experience so winning and having that feeling as a team was pretty cool,” Biddell said.

“Kicking my first goal was an amazing feeling as well.”

The 22-year-old worked hard in the off-season and that has paid off throughout her second AFLW pre-season.

“This pre-season is going a lot better than the first, I feel a lot fitter and stronger this year,” Biddell said.

“So it’s a lot easier in that regard, but the training load has ramped up a bit so it’s also more difficult at the same time.

“Now we have a date we are working towards and striving for, it’s super exciting.”

Adelaide will play a trial match against St Kilda on Sunday, January 17 before their first proper season game on Saturday, January 30 against Melbourne.
