Crows defender Tom Doedee has thanked Members for their patience and support as the Club works through a COVID-19 shake-up.

It has been all hands on deck at Adelaide, with the Club continuing to respond to Members impacted by new seat allocations stemming from restrictions at Adelaide Oval which have reduced the venue’s capacity.

Players have hit the phones to help keep Members informed, while a Ticketek error this morning has also now been resolved.

The incredible support from Members has not gone unnoticed by staff and players alike, and Doedee said he was grateful for their understanding.

“We love our fans, our members are the best in the AFL,” he said.

“We’ve had some of the boys calling up the members, just trying to preach patience and thank them for their support.

“We’ve got so many people working overtime, we’ve got queues at the moment, we’ve got extra people on just to try and figure it out.

“We’ve got players helping out, staff are doing all they can and we thank the patience of all the members, we know it’s pretty difficult and pretty frustrating.”

After significantly reduced-capacity crowds last year, Doedee said he couldn’t wait to see the fans at Adelaide Oval again.

“To have 40,000 back there cheering just for us will be great,” he said.

“It’ll be nice when a few of the big fellas or Shaneo (Shane McAdam) can kick a couple of goals and hear that Adelaide Oval roar.

“We thank the members for their patience and hope they just trust that we’re doing everything we can.”
