A classy ball winner, Paredes (nee Ponter) successfully made the transition from the AFLW Under-18 tournaments to her first senior AFLW season in 2019. One of the most efficient ball users, she kicked 13 goals in eight games, including three in the 2019 Grand Final victory against Carlton. After receiving a Rising Star nomination in Round Four, she won her first AFLW Premiership in 2019. She then claimed the Crows’ leading goal kicker award in 2020, before playing a pivotal role in the Crows’ Season Six Premiership. Paredes is the niece of former Essendon great Michael Long and the cousin of former Hawthorn Premiership star Cyril Rioli. In 2023, she kicked 20 goals, the most memorable of which was one from the centre square against Richmond. This tally allowed her to overtake Erin Phillips as the Crows' all-time leading goal kicker. In the same year, Paredes earned her first All-Australian selection. She kicked a career-best five goals in 2024 against Hawthorn at Unley Oval. Paredes will miss the 2026 season after announcing she was pregnant with her first child.
