Adelaide vice-captain Rory Sloane will make his long-awaited return to AFL football on Saturday afternoon.

Sloane has been sidelined with a foot injury since the Crows’ Round Four loss to Collingwood but has been cleared to face the Eagles at Adelaide Oval.

The 28-year-old is one of six changes to Don Pyke’s 22, with All Australian Rory Laird and trusty defender Luke Brown also returning from injury.

“Rory's an important part of our side so to get him back and available is fantastic for him. He's jumping out of his skin ready to go,” Pyke told afc.com.au on Thursday.

“With Rory Laird and Luke Brown coming back in as well, key components of our back half, we’re looking forward to them getting out there on Saturday.”

Key forward Tom Lynch has fully recovered from a side strain, however has been ruled out for another week after reporting concussion symptoms over the last 24 hours.

“Lynchy was tracking really well and everything had settled with his side strain. Unfortunately in the last two minutes of our match sim, just got an innocuous head knock,” Pyke said.

“From there he reported having some headache symptoms, looked at him and decided it looks like he's got some mild concussion there, so he's been ruled out with that.

Curtly Hampton has been named for his first senior game since Round One after averaging 25 disposals, 12 contested possessions, seven clearances, seven tackles and a goal per game across his last three SANFL outings.

Rory Atkins, Myles Poholke and Patrick Wilson have all been omitted.

The clash between the Crows and Eagles starts at 4.05pm (ACST) with gates open from 2pm. View Game Day Guide.
