Crows midfielder Patrick Dangerfield has finished in 10^th place in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year award.

Despite not polling in Round 23, Dangerfield held on to his spot in the top 10, finishing with 65 votes.

Only two Adelaide players received votes from the coaches at Simonds Stadium on Saturday. Full-back Daniel Talia, who was resolute in an under-siege defence, earned one vote from Scott Camporeale and Chris Scott. Four-goal forward Eddie Betts was also awarded one vote.

The equal-leading possession-winners on the ground, Cats Andrew Mackie and Joel Selwood, were the top-two vote getters. Mackie earned a perfect 10 for his performance, which included 34 disposals and 11 marks. Selwood, who had 34 possessions, eight tackles and seven clearances, collected seven votes. Cam Guthrie (six votes) was adjudged the next-best player on the ground, while evergreen veteran Corey Enright was awarded five votes.

Sydney Swans onballer Dan Hannebery (101) polled seven votes in the final round to pip Fremantle star Nathan Fyfe (100), who didn’t poll after Round 14, by a solitary vote. Another Swan, Josh Kennedy (87), finished in third place ahead of West Coast pair Matt Priddis (75) and Andrew Gaff (74).

Dangerfield was the highest-placed Crow ahead of Scott Thompson (43), Rory Sloane (38), Taylor Walker (35) and Betts (31).
