EDDIE BETTS (FREE AGENT) - 2013
Betts quickly became a fan favourite at the Crows after deciding to exercise his free agency and join Adelaide.
Although not technically a trade, Betts arrived in the free agency/trade period of 2013 after Carlton made no attempt to match the Crows' offer.
In what was originally a four-year deal, Betts remained at West Lakes until the end of 2019.
Betts played 184 games for Carlton before lining up in 132 matches and booting 310 goals for the Crows in six seasons.
In his first season at Adelaide, Betts played all 22 games and kicked a career-best 51 goals to lead the Club’s goal kicking and finished eighth in the Coleman Medal.
He was named an All-Australian in 2015 and also awarded Goal of the Year.
Betts made a return to the Blues and spent two seasons with his original Club before hanging up the boots at the end of 2021.
SAM JACOBS FROM CARLTON FOR PICK NO.33 (PATRICK MCCARTHY) AND PICK NO.67 (ANDREW MCINNES) - 2010

Adelaide secured the ruckman’s signature and, in exchange, gave Carlton pick No.33 and No.67.
Jacobs made his debut for the Crows in Round Five 2011 and quickly established himself at the No.1 ruckman at the Club.
In 2012, he led the competition in hit-outs and hit-outs to advantage and finished fourth in the Club Champion award.
Jacobs not only became the Club’s premier ruckman but quickly established himself as a fan favourite, having won three Showdown Medals (2012, 2014 and 2017).
McCarthy ended up playing one AFL game for Carlton before being delisted at the end of 2013.
McInness lined up in 17 matches for the Blues from 2012-2014.
