Jordon Butts will be sidelined for up to three weeks after sustaining an adductor strain in Adelaide’s one-point win over Port Adelaide in Showdown 59.

Crows General Manager High Performance Ian McKeown said the key defender was already progressing well through the early stages of his rehab.

“Buttsy sustained a low-grade strain of his adductor, and he is already seeing good progress, but timelines for his return will become clearer by the end of this week,” he said.

“We hope to see Jordon available for selection after our Bye Round, which is later this month."

McKeown said key forward Taylor Walker would similarly be sidelined for several weeks after sustaining a low-grade hamstring strain in the Showdown.

Meanwhile, forwards Callum Ah Chee (hamstring) and Darcy Fogarty (back) are available for Round Nine’s match against Richmond at the MCG.

Ah Chee has been sidelined since Round Two with a hamstring strain and Fogarty has spent the past five weeks rehabbing a back injury.

“We’re happy to see that both players have completed their rehabilitation programs,” McKeown said.

“They will need to successfully get through main training on Thursday, but should they do that, both will be available for Sunday’s game.”

Mitch Hinge - who injured his hamstring in Round Five - has begun reintegrating into the main training group as he nears the end of his rehab.

“Pleasingly, Mitch is progressing well, and we expect him to be available in one-to-two weeks,” McKeown said.
