A batch of Crows continued to apply pressure to the selectors with some solid form in the SANFL on the weekend.

Richard Douglas, the club’s first pick at the 2005 national draft, won Adelaide’s SANFL Player of the Week award after another impressive performance for Glenelg against the Eagles.

Douglas was outstanding with his ballgetting, speed and energy in the first half when Glenelg took control of the match and finished with 2.3 from 20 possessions.

Ivan Maric also shone for Port Adelaide Magpies. Playing in ruck and at full forward, he kicked four goals and won a number of possessions.

Kris Massie followed his busy first round with a 30-possession effort in the midfield for Norwood. Adelaide’s scouts were pleased with his energy and the standard of his work.

Also for the Redlegs, John Meesen rucked for a half off the bench and continues to improve while Chad Gibson performed solidly.

Hayden Skipworth wasn’t as effective as the previous week but still won plenty of touches, especially in the third quarter when the Eagles made a charge at Glenelg. Bernie Vince, left out of Adelaide’s line-up, won 18 possessions for the Eagles and improved after half-time.

On the winning side in this game was John Hinge, who was good in defence.
