Consistently dominant performances in the home and away season has seen Crows star Erin Phillips take out the 2019 Lucky Chicken Eggs AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year.

After securing votes in every single game, Phillips won the award on 51 votes, five ahead of second-placed Kiara Bowers from Fremantle.

Phillips polled eight in Adelaide’s 60-point win over Melbourne on Saturday, as the Crows swept the votes.

Ruck Jessica Foley earned the maximum 10 votes for her two goals, 15 disposals and six tackles.

Ebony Marinoff (five), Courtney Cramey (three), Eloise Jones (two), Marijana Rajcic and Chloe Scheer (each one) were the other vote-getters in Adelaide’s big win.

This is the second-consecutive year a Crow has won the award, with Phillips’ fellow co-captain Chelsea Randall winning the inaugural award in 2018.

Phillips has had yet another stellar year, averaging 22 disposals, four marks, four inside 50’s and three tackles across the seven rounds, while also kicking nine goals.

The Crows will step up on Adelaide Oval for the first time this Sunday for their preliminary final against the Cats.
